ATLANTA, August 6, 2007—Navicure, a
leading provider of Web-based revenue cycle management
(RCM) solutions, today announced it has received full
accreditation from the Electronic Healthcare Network
Accreditation Commission (EHNAC). To achieve EHNAC accreditation,
Navicure submitted to an in-depth independent evaluation
of its ability to perform at the highest level of standards
for the electronic processing of health information.
The accreditation process required a rigorous assessment
of compliance with current performance criteria verified
by a site review and approval by the commission. Every
aspect of Navicure’s business operations was thoroughly
tested and evaluated as part of this process, including
its Technology infrastructure, data security, emergency
preparedness, customer service, and several other areas.
Lee Barrett, executive director of EHNAC said of Navicure,
Inc.: "Today Navicure joins a select group of clearinghouses
that have demonstrated to independent third party evaluators
their ability to deliver their services consistent with
the only standards in the industry that measure the
overall business practices of a clearinghouse."
“Navicure is committed to performing at the highest
levels, and EHNAC accreditation further demonstrates
that commitment,” said Fred Christian, chief information
officer for Navicure. “This accreditation recognizes
our best practices concerning HIPAA-related issues such
as privacy and security, especially in regard to protected
health information. It also acknowledges our adherence
to high standards in the areas of transaction response
time, security infrastructure and transaction processing.”
“We are pleased to achieve this accreditation
and believe that standards such as those established
by EHNAC will be absolutely essential in the future,”
said James Denny, president and CEO of Navicure.
Navicure’s automated, Web-based RCM solutions,
which include claims management, electronic remittance
posting and secondary claims processing, help physician
practices quickly eliminate billing errors, identify
payment trends and improve operational efficiency. All
electronic transactions are processed in accordance
with HIPAA’s privacy and security requirements,
and hundreds of EDI connections are supported—resulting
in the ability to process a greater number of electronic
transactions by reaching all payers who offer electronic
capabilities.
Navicure provides automated, Web-based revenue cycle
management (RCM) solutions that help physician practices
improve operational efficiency and profitability. Serving
thousands of physicians in practices nationwide, Navicure’s
